A lot has happened for all of us in the past year and here is the current Boudoir scoop!
Our lil sexy bar has been again slammed with fines.This time the Mayor’s ticketing
Posse was the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Can anyone tell me what the f**k is Mental Hygiene ? I guess we didn’t floss our brains? What? Anyway, the long and the short of it is that we did not possess a Health Certificate for ICE. Yes, folks, the much needed nutritional item, ICE is considered a FOOD. Please remind me of that when I open up my restaurant for f-ing polar bears! The fine? $1,000. Not to mention $200 for ashtrays, not in use with no one smoking… That if anything is my fault .Ashtrays even without smoking are ILLEGAL! HIDE YOUR ASHTRAYS!
Especially, BEAUTIFUL,VINTAGE ONES! THEY ARE dangerous! …Finally, to top it off, another fine for $200 dollars for a piece of paper from the Health department not posted. Wheew! I will not bore you with the other $1100. fine also from the health dept. for more extortive purposes…Such is the life now of a small business owner. Big Brother up the yin-yang.
Where is the New York we once knew? No smoking, No dancing (without a license),what next no breathing without the proper paper work? Give us a break!
Do YOU love us? We want so much to stay open and damn it we are going to with your help! Come on down, Bring your friends, book a party (the back yard is open) and we are CHEAP! You can bring your own food, your own dj, and we will close for you for a bargain price.! Support the only performing arts space with LIVE arts and WINES by the glass in this area. Plus, where do you get sexy bartenders in vintage lingerie, a great backyard and more…? Don’t allow Bloomberg make this awesome city into a corporate HORROR by fining all of the small, cool places out of existence!
We have SOOOO much fun now ! Here is the new low down-
Wednesdays are Winelover’s nights.( Not that every night isn’t as we are a WINE BAR!) As you sip, go into the backyard and dream -PLUS you get a sheet to rate our wines, argue,get passionate,and tell us and everyone around you your opinion ! IF you have suggestions for a wine you love, write it down-we will try and get it. Try a wine flight (a tasting of 3 wines) for a median price…Happy Hour 6-8 –all drinks 2 dollars off…Best wines as of now-Russian Hill, Russian River Pinot Noir, and an awesome Gewurztraminer (limited) from Germany. YUM!
Every other Thursday is Open Mic night. Free to patrons.$5 and one drink minimum for performers.
On off Thursdays-Classic Burlesque,Camp and Concerts on dvd. Come and see Alfred Hitchcock, Cher sing live, and silly fun musicals. Showings will be at 9:30 pm for the movie/concert with sound. Before and after , you’ll get to see movies with a dj.NO COVER.
Friday Nights are Cornucopia-a little of this, that and the other.Music,Comedy and Burlesque Plus the infamous Boudoir YARD SALE RAFFLE! Free tickets with every drink and you can get some great stuff from my basement!.Look at the calendar.
Sat. Nights are The Brooklyn Brew HaHa comedy show-5 dollar cover, 2 drink minimum
At 9:30-11:30.
We’ve added:
MIDNIGHT BURLESQUE REVIEW AND RAFFLE! 5 dollar cover for Burlesque- 4-6 different acts which are being added to weekly. Raffle is 3 dollars , you can win up to $100 bucks. Last week we gave away $40…got to be in it to win it!
