NEWSLETTER - Spring 2002Hey Kids! Spring has almost sprung! We have a lot of new happenings. First off, Wednesdays from 8-9:30 pm, we give you the After Work Comedy Sessions. What? You ask, More comedy? Hip Hip Hooray! So, if you are down in the mouth, come and laugh with us .For those of you who havent seen the Brooklyn Brew Ha Ha on Saturdays You are missing crème de la crème comedy. All of the freshest and hottest talent that Brooklyn has to offer. 10 Comedians for 10 bucks. Not too shabby. Later on Wednesdays, is our Amy Speace songwriter series, featuring Amy and alternately her very talented friends. Bold, brazen and awe inspiring, these songwriters are booked from 9:30pm until your feet just cant dance anymore!
April showers bring May flowers. It also brings our Song Writer contest. Hey you! Yes, YOU! For Gods sake, get out of the shower and enter. The song has to be about New York, no longer than 5 minutes. 10-dollar entry fee and the winner takes the pot. In addition, you get a night playing here at EEE! If you are not yet that brave (songs will be judged live by 5 neighborhood judges on April 21st. Deadline is coming up though
April 5th.), then come down for open mike night. That begins at 8pm on Thursdays. Every Thursday.
Friday Night After Work Series on the April the 12th brings new artwork by graffiti artists Courtney Prusmack-Smith and Dave Smith Also, we are proud to present Script tease and the Metro Clowns. Songs, comedy, street art and sentiment, all wrapped together in one. Other Fridays join us for live music from Brooklyns own up and coming.
Sundays we are putting a call out to those of you who want to jam. Jazz is the prevalent mood for the evening. That starts at 9pm and all are welcome.
In other words, we have continuous live entertainment 5 nights a week. In later weeks and as the weather gets warmer it will be 6 nights of live entertainment so stay tuned to the calendar. In the day and until about 7:30 pm, we are a café and vintage clothing store. Our nature is to be flexible!
Our schedule of operation for March and April is this
Wed-Friday 4pm-11: 30pm (Although we have been known to stay open if all are jumping and jamming!)
Sat & Sun. 1pm-11: 30pm
We are getting together an independent film night. Most likely this will be on Tuesday Evenings. We will keep you posted.
EEE not only sells artwork, but also vintage clothing, jewelry, memorabilia, t-shirts, wine, Brooklyn beer, natural soda, coffee, tee, slim jims, combos, peanut butter crackers and Grandmas cookies. They all make for a wonderful diet.
We will be getting a full liquor license by the summer. Be a supporter of Brooklyn arts and come on over to our neck of the woods!
